1989 issued in a young Pastor, Wayne Fulton and his wife Zena. Under their ministry the Church saw tremendous growth with a congregation of well over 100 people attending regularly. The Fultons were both very musical and them along with Darlene White, a talented choir director, directed musical performances at Christmas and Easter. These musicals drew people in from the community. Powerful messages of the gospel in each performance, touching the hearts of people in attendance. The Fulton’s ministered in IF for seven years, saying their farewells in 1996.

1996 to 2000 saw the coming and going of two young pastors and their families, pastor Rob Dale, his wife Heather and pastor Paul Wilson and his wife Cindy along with their families under their leadership. The church continued to flourish but unfortunate personal circumstances drew them away.

2000 to 2005. Saw the arrival of pastor Claude Lainey along with his wife Micheline and their children. Pastor Claude, being a hometown person was well known in the community. He had a heart for the Lord with a great love for the flock he was called to Shepherd. Unfortunately, during that time there was some discord happening which caused a split in the church, ultimately his leaving.

OUR HISTORY

Established in 1982, Iroquois Falls Pentecostal Church has been, and continues to be a beacon of light in the community.

In midsummer 1982, Pastor Douglas Richards felt the leading of the Lord to leave his Pastorate in Matheson and move to Iroquois Falls to start a church. He, along with his Wife, Marylin and three children moved here and planted Iroquois Falls Pentecostal Church.

Our beginnings were humble. Pastor Doug was able to start having services on a regular basis in none other than the “Lions Den.” Sunday mornings and evenings he and his family would faithfully set up chairs etc with the expectation that God would bring people in and HE DID! It was slow going at first, but gradually folks began attending. In 1986 he felt the Lord leading him elsewhere and with much regrets resigned. We so appreciated his obedience in establishing our Church here.

1986 brought in a new person to assume to role of Pastor. Pastor Donald Brown along with his wife, Pat, and three children began ministering at IFPC. Under Pastor Don’s leadership the Church saw an increase in numbers. It was in that time that we were able to purchase our own building. It was amusing that we changed locations from the Lion’s Hall to the “Moose Hall!” The Brown’s ministered from 1986 to 1989.

December 2005 saw the arrival of pastor Scott Corkill, his wife Susan and their two children. Pastor Scott had the job of rebuilding the church and bringing healing to those of the congregation who remained faithful. The lord gave the church a word: "If those who are here remain faithful and stay than I will build my church in the Gates of hell will not prevail against it!" The Lord was faithful to his word and use pastor Scott to rebuild the church's reputation in the community and bring hailing to the congregation and 6 years of ministry. We saw God doing work through pastor Scott. 2011 saw pastor Scott leaving his post here.

For 6 months we were without a pastor until March 2012 when pastor David Bysterveld, his wife Anya and their children took over as pastor at IFPC. Pastor David continued where pastor Scott had left off in the healing process. Pastor David had the heart of compassion for everyone. He often spent hours counseling people guiding them through difficult times. He had an open door policy and loved visits from the congregation. He was a hard worker, taking jobs outside in the community. This became a ministry in and of itself where he often shared with his co-workers about Christ. During covid, pastor David began streaming our services during the period where in church services weren't allowed. He also did Bible studies 5-minute pop-ups. We were never without being ministered to. Pastor David ministered at ifpc for 12 years, leaving in April 2024. We were blessed to have pastor Dave and Anya for so many years.

In May 2024 we were fortunate to have pastor Bob Cox as Interim Pastor. We have been greatly blessed. We have seen growth in numbers, have had baptisms and experience. Great spiritual growth as well. Pastor Bob has a heart for God and loves people. We know God will continue to use him to bless other churches just as he has ours.

In 2025, we welcomed our new pastor, Jessica Ntwari, her husband, Fred and family. We look forward to seeing what God does through Jessica as she begins her ministry here.
